About the Club

We are people of all ages who enjoy getting together to ”do and talk about art”. If you are an artist and available to attend our weekday events, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! We have workshops and demos in different media (watercolor, oil, pastel, pen & ink, etc.) taught by local and world acclaimed artists. We support & encourage one another, go on outings and have fun with ”artsy minded” people. Our members put on an ”Art Critique Ribbon Award Show” and Luncheon each March. The artwork we produce will ”knock your socks off.”

20th Anniversary

The Spa City Paletteers is celebrating their 20th year and because of their increased membership have moved to the Hidden Springs Country Club.  Monthly meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month, from 9:30 until noon and they enjoy a demonstration and lecture by professional guest artists. The Paletteers demonstrations are done in all mediums, for all ages, beginner or professional, and for all communities.

Ribbon Award Art Critique Luncheon @ Miracle Springs Spa Resort

Every year a Ribbon Award Art Critique Luncheon is held at the Miracle Springs Spa Resort Hotel and has a sold out attendance to learn from the critique of each original artwork submitted.  At that event the club takes the opportunity to have five guest students from the Desert Hot Springs High School  attend to assist in the presentation while learning
from the professional judge.  Two of the Seniors are selected from the Scholarship Committee and the Spa City Paletteers presents them with art scholarships to help them further their education in the arts.

Supporting Charities

A community organization is also chosen to honor and support each year. The members donate  a small canvas of their artwork that best represents the organization selected.  Previous year donations have been to  Angel View Hospital, the Historical Society, the Mayors Award and this year it will be for Cabot’s Pueblo Museum.

Demonstrations by Well Known Artists

At the October and November meeting they were privileged to have two award winning, well known and recognized artists Diane Morgan, watercolor, and Diane McClary did an oil impressionistic landscape of the desert.
